Blake thinks Nicole is a "diva" and Brandon has a lot of charm, but he'd choose Brandon, if he had to. I'm not overly fond of either of them, as I think they're good singers but don't have much "star potential", if you will. They both manage to put on a great duet - their voices really complement one another, which is great, but does make it a bit harder to determine who actually will win this one. However, Brandon is incredibly nervous and Mary has to remind him to tap into his inspiration so that he can pull himself together and create a good performance. Mary J Blige is around to give some advice, though there's not too much to give - they're both great. Moving right along, Adam has paired Brandon Mahone and Nicole Nelson together for a duet of 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough'. Daniel's voice is the one he connects with, however, which means Daniel's through and Alexis goes home. It's Cee Lo's decision, however, and he thinks they both improved greatly. She also thinks that Alexis did a bit more and would win the battle round. Christina critiques Daniel on turning his performance to the audience so that she can connect. However, he heard a few things in Daniel's voice that he found "weird" and therefore, he'd go with Alexis. Blake thinks that they're both quite different and that it comes down to a matter of taste. He would choose Daniel, though he thinks Alexis is talented, as well. I'll be surprised if he's not the one through, honestly.Īdam loves that Daniel sings with "all of soul" and is completely genuine. The battle itself goes well enough - Daniel's vocal tone is naturally just really amazing, but Alexis isn't giving this one up easily - she's really trying to push herself and take Cee Lo's and Rob's feedback during rehearsals to heart. Daniel's got some confidence issues, but his singing is pretty impeccable and Rob urges him to believe in himself. Rob Thomas is on hand to give some extra advice, and he urges Alexis not to do anything too precisely and to try to forget her classical training. They'll be singing Adam Lambert's 'What Do You Want From Me', which Cee Lo thinks they'll be able to put a unique spin on since they both have a "cool indie vibe". Let's find out!įirst up, it's Daniel Rosa and Alexis Marceaux from Team Cee Lo. With coaches Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton each having only a few places left in their respective teams, there's no saying who will go through, who will be "stolen" and who will go home empty handed. It's the final week of battles on The Voice and it's time to top off our group of contestants moving through to the knock out rounds.
